The Arlington Memorial Bridge is not just another transportation route for locals and tourists.  It is an iconic element of the entrance to our National’s Capital.  The use of precast concrete deck panels was a requirement and essential to the success of this project to enable accelerated construction on this high occupancy roadway.  PennStress produced a total of (458) Prestressed Concrete Deck Panels that were about 10’ wide and between 42’ to 44’ long with stainless steel strand and reinforcing.  We also produced (82) Precast Concrete Beams that were about 44’ long and 2.5’ deep needed to restore this iconic structure.
