Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) is a powerful tool for rapidly upgrading infrastructure using precast concrete.  The Interstate 78 Bridge Under clearance project in Berks County replaced six (6) precast concrete structures each in an average of (45) days from road closure to road open.  Most of the bridge beam/deck reconstruction work over I-78, took place at night to minimize disruption to traffic below.  PennStress completed the precast concrete detailing for all six structures using TEKLA 3D modeling software.  The spans ranged from 105 feet long to 134.33 feet long.
