Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge
The Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge is one of the longest, highest bridge structures in Lancaster County. Originally built in 1905 as a railroad, standing 140 feet high and stretches 1,560 feet over the Conestoga River. In 2021 and 2022, the Safe Harbor Trestle Bridge began the process of being rehabilitated and the decking replaced for a 21-foot-wide pedestrian walkway open June 2, 2022. PennStress produced 311 precast concrete deck panels that serve as the new trail across the bridge.
